El Salvador may be the smallest country in Central America, but it produces some of the finest coffees in the world. Pacamara is a highly celebrated hybrid coffee varietal that the Institute of Coffee Studies in El Salvador started developing in 1958. After thirty years the Pacamara was finally released to producers and made it to coffee shops not long after.
