WOSASA, ETHIOPIA

  • Process: Washed

    This month’s Roaster’s Choice originates from Wosasa, a village nestled within
    the Raro Nensebo Kebele.

    The lot takes its name from the village, where the twenty-five farmers and
    their families contributed to its cultivation. The Gibirrina/Serto variety, grown
    under the shade of indigenous trees, was carefully chosen for its diseaseresistant qualities. Trained by the “King of Guji”, Ture Waji, the farmers uphold
    expertise in agronomy and post-harvest practices.

    Every lot in the Wosasa drying station is tracked with a unique tag for
    separation and traceability, detailing delivery dates and daily relative moisture
    content readings – a testament to their quality commitment.

    Enjoy the nuanced flavours of lavender, blueberry jam, cherry (maraschino),
    black tea and dark brown sugar as Wosasa creates a sensory experience as
    vibrant as the land from which it originates.

      • 500g or 1kg coffee every month, hand-selected by Nick and roasted by Claire
