Based in the leafy streets of South London’s Herne Hill is the family and dog-friendly café, West 16th. A true gem of the local community, West 16th offers the perfect spot to grab a coffee or cocktail, enjoy a delicious lunch or sweet treat and even host your own private event.
Tell us about your business.
West 16th is a neighbour café, restaurant and studio in Herne Hill / North Dulwich. We serve delicious freshly prepared food for breakfast, lunch and weekend dinners, great coffee (obviously!) and teas, and carefully chosen wines and cocktails. We also host fantastic workshops and private events, from flower crown making and art classes, to birthday celebrations and resident association AGM’s.
Why did you choose to work with Volcano?
When I set out on this venture, I knew that I wanted to use local suppliers wherever possible, and as I was already a fan of Volcano at the time (with many a cuppa enjoyed with friends in the Park Hall coffee shop), I approached them to start conversations. After meeting many lovely members of the team, and learning more about their approach to sourcing and supplying coffee, I was delighted to appoint Volcano as our supplier.
What Volcano coffee do you serve?
We serve the Fullsteam Espresso in our machine which we love using for it’s smooth chocolatey flavour.
What is your favourite coffee order to make?
I love making mochas! And drinking them of course.
