If the nutty praline is always your first pick, this is the coffee for you. Pecan Praline brings together milk chocolate notes, muscovado sugar sweetness and a comforting nutty character. Subtle fruit notes add a little more to discover, making it a delicious companion to your favourite festive treats.
Pecan Praline comes from San Carlos, a small farm in Mosonte, Nicaragua, owned and managed by Carlos Bautista López. Carlos bought the farm over twenty years ago and named it both after himself and in honour of Saint Carlos, reflecting his family’s devotion.
Here, at 1,700 metres above sea level, coffee grows beneath a carefully managed canopy of shade trees. Carlos works on the farm throughout the year, joined by a larger team during harvest to selectively pick ripe coffee cherries.
This Red Catuai coffee undergoes a washed process. After picking, the cherries are sorted and depulped, then fermented for around 24-36 hours before washing. Drying begins on the farm before the coffee travels to Cafetos de Segovia, where it finishes drying on patios or raised beds over approximately 10-12 days.
Enjoy it alongside a chocolate praline, share a freshly brewed pot with friends, or make it your little treat during the festive season. The nutty one might just become your favourite.
