New Coffee for September: Neel Vohora, Tanzania

This month, our Roaster’s Choice returns to Edelweiss Estates in Tanzania for a sweet and smooth Bourbon N39 produced by Neel Vohora.

Edelweiss is a third-generation farm managed by Neel and his sister, set on the edge of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and surrounded by indigenous forest and wildlife. Its varied elevations and microclimates help give each lot its own unique character.

First selected from a Bourbon grown around Kilimanjaro in the late 1920s, Bourbon N39 is known for its balanced flavour.

After harvest, the coffee ferments for six days in warm conditions, developing fruitiness and complexity before drying with some pulp intact.

Expect juicy pear, rich pecan pie and a creamy milk chocolate finish.

How long does the coffee last?

Typically, the coffee you’ll receive will have been roasted within 10 days. We recommend the coffee be consumed within 5 weeks (although it can still taste great after this).
What grind should I choose?

Typically, fine grind is for espresso machines however, for low pressure machines like SMEG, Dualit and the smaller Sage machines we recommend medium grind. All other brewing equipment like Cafetiere, Moka Pot, Aeropress, V60 are best with medium grind. Please get in touch if you are having issues with the grind.
How should I brew my coffee?

What if I am not happy?

We always love to hear from you and consider feedback a gift whether it's good or bad. If you are missing an item or have received an incorrect or damaged item, please contact us immediately by emailing our team at orders@volcanocoffeeworks.com.As coffee is a perishable product, we're unable to take any returns once dispatched. However, we recommend trying a 200g bag on your first order and if you don't like it, you can return it via our can Taste Guarantee policy. We aim to respond to all emails within 24hr Mon-Fri. When will I get my order?

Orders are despatched the next working day. Any subscription order is dispatched by Royal Mail 48hr.
