Join the team: Sales Manager

 

What is the role?

We have an opening for someone with a proven track record and the hunger to work in a team in one of the most authentic and trusted brands in a passionate and exciting category. Volcano is setup for rapid growth, and we are looking for someone who can both develop new wholesale customers and manage existing accounts to deliver the current strategy and business performance KPIs.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively seek, source and develop new business directly in the wholesale market.
  • Gain new routes to market through developing business via food distributors and regional agents
  • Constantly seek and explore opportunities to improve margins and revenue growth opportunities with existing customers and the broader market.
  • Ensure that our customers have the right contractual terms in place.
  • Constantly meet and exceed customer contractual SLAs to ensure continuously delighted customers.
  • Be the escalation point and find resolution to issues raised by customers directly or via our technical services or operational teams.
  • Develop trade marketing plans and messaging for the wholesale and food service channel to grow sales and retain customers.
  • Ensure reporting is timely and accurate across our sales management and CRM systems and as necessary through our inventory platform.
  • Be a champion for the brand, actively supporting the brand’s messaging and customers across social platforms

 

 

 

 

KPIs:

INTERNAL: Revenue generation from new business development, gross margin, service management and reporting accuracy. Strong trade marketing skills, that are transferable to the specialty coffee industry.

 

Primary Interactions:

 

External:

  • Our customers and potential customers, the wider coffee industry. Machinery partners.
  • Sales Agents.

Internal:

  • Marketing/Finance/Supply Chain (Demand Planning)/Technical Services and AY (sister brand) Sales/Marketing.

Ideal candidate:

  • Demonstrable commercial experience in wholesale and food service industries.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and organisational skills, with the ability to communicate with multiple stakeholders at various levels
  • An analytical brain and loves a challenge.

  • Approaches problems with a can-do and positive attitude.
  • Is not afraid to get stuck into all areas of a business in fast growth.
